George Toot unquestionably improved the Original Mountain Cur breed when he crossed his dogs, Dale and Candy. Pictured below, Dale was the son of Tug A Jug, out of a daughter of Streak. Candy's sire was a son of Streak, and her dam was out of a full brother of Streak JR, crossed back to Bear Creek Dottie.
Dale and Candy produced as many outstanding dogs as any Mountain Cur cross, including Mountain State Holly, Baker's Jill, Stoneyview Beau, Jay Overholt's Deadend Dottie and Ginger, Purdue's Sandhill Fred, Moore's Samson, Martin's Rambo, Bartlett's Candy, and T&W's Bridgette, to name a few.
Dale X Candy dogs are well-known as pressure tree dogs.
