GERONIMO HAS IT ALL…
CLASSY TREE DOG Geronimo trees hard from the time he hits the tree until you get there. If it takes 15-20 minutes, you don’t have to stop and listen to find out where he is. You can tromp through the dry leaves, talk to your buddies, and follow the roar. If it takes an hour, he'll be there. When you get to the tree, take your time and take a few pictures of him with his feet on the tree and his mouth wide!
SUPER TIGHT PRESSURE TREE DOG
EASY HANDLING AND SMART Geronimo handles like a dream. He will hop into the truck and wait for you to put on his collars. As hard as he trees, you can pet him at a tree, tell him "We're done," and send him hunting. As hard as he hunts, you can tell him the hunt is over and he will walk beside you all the way back to the truck. We taught him this in one lesson! Geronimo was born housebroken. He never uses the bathroom in his kennel. We take him on our pontoon boat and he lounges around like an old dog until you cut him loose on the shoreline.

Mountain State Geronimo Our kennel is very small. Right now, we have Geronimo and Mohawk plus three females and a couple of puppies. Some folks questioned the decision to sell Apache. With the two males we now have, we didn't lose any "dog power" and the plan was to develop a stud dog that was the combination of all three of our dominant crosses. Geronimo is 50% Streak JR X Georgetta, 25% Duffs Bob X Pine Knot Tiger Paws, and 25% Toots Dale X Toots Candy. He is like Apache in many ways, but we think he will be better. Looking to the future, Mohawk is stepping up as the future of our kennel.
HOW IT CAME TO BE... Geronimo was born in Allen's Thunder Mountain Kennel in Sarahsville, Ohio in October. This first cross of ApacheXGinger produced several outstanding pups. The second litter from this cross was born in May of 2005. Geronimo came to his home among the hills on Adam's 19th birthday, May 27, 2004. We are extremely grateful to Allen Franklin for allowing us to buy him, even though he fetched a four-figure price! By the age of six months, this dog was not just treeing, but treeing first and staying treed. Anyone who has hunted with this dog will tell you that he is impressive. Click here and you can read what some folks think of him. Mountain State Geronimo is already a well-known name among the squirrel dog world. In his first four years of breeding, Geronimo has sired 30 litters of puppies from PROVEN females. If you have such a female and would like to raise a litter of great puppies, give us a call.
